WVFFL Rules

| Registration | Draft | Starters | Transactions | Waivers | Winners

Here is how it works…

Registration
The cost of your team will be $ 25.00 due along with your registration by the first of August.  Free Agent Teams will be on sale at $15.00 until the week before the first game.  After that time no one else will be added to the league.

Draft
Before the season starts all the team owners get together and have a mock NFL draft. After drawing numbers to decide what order each team will pick, the draft will begin. Each team owner will pick players they wish to represent their team; they may take any player they wish each draft pick, however they cannot draft any more players than their roster allows. Teams will have…

3 QB’s
4 RB’s
5 WR’s
2 TE’s
2 Kickers
2 Defenses

Starters
Every week each team will start players they believe to be the most likely to score for them. They can start only…

1 QB
2 RB’s
3 WR’s
1 TE
1 Kicker
1 Defense

Starters must be turned in by kickoff of the first game that any one of your starting players is playing.  For example, if you have a player playing in a Thursday game and you want to start him, then you must have your starters turned in by Thursday's kickoff.

Transactions
During the season, teams may trade & pick up free agents as many times as they would like. *Note when transferring a player you must have your roster positions filled up immediately. For every player pickup the team owner will give a dollar ($1.00) to the prize pot.

Waivers
Waiver numbers will be assigned based on your picking order in the draft.  The first draft pick will have the last waiver number and so on.  If you pickup a player after game time on Sunday and before Tuesday night at midnight (12:00 am Wednesday), you will use your waiver number.  Between that time, if two or more owners want a free agent then the team with the highest waiver number will get the pick.

Winners
Just like the NFL, teams will be facing off with other teams. The winner of the face off will be the team that tallies up the most points that week. The team that has the most victories throughout the season will share the PIGGY, with the overall winner.

The overall winner is the team that tallies up the most points throughout the season. Not only will he share the cash prize, but he will have his name & team name engraved on the prestigious WVFFL traveling trophy.

Awards will be as follows:

1st Place Overall

40% of Piggy and traveling trophy
2nd Place Overall 20% of Piggy
1st Place Head-to-Head 25% of Piggy
2nd Place Head-to-Head 15% of Piggy

In case of a tie, the winnings will be split between the two (or more) winners.  Final split of the pot will be determined by the commissioner.
